Need specific data? Request a data extract from Birdata
With over 30 million individual species records, Birdata is a valuable resource for research and analysis. Contributors of Birdata include BirdLife Australia volunteers, schools, scientists, local conservation groups and Indigenous corporations. The structured nature of Birdata surveys means that the data is suitable for in-depth scientific analysis, particularly when people have surveyed the same location over many years.
Birdata extracts can be made available to:
- Councils and Government
- Local Conservation Groups
- Scientists and Academics
- Primary Industry
- Commercial Consultancies
- BirdLife Australia Volunteers
Data used can help inform important decision-making, oppose habitat-destroying developments, guide development proposals and projects, and improve vital scientific research.
